Welcome to the Faculty of Dentistry of UM, the first and most established dental school in Malaysia. The Faculty of Dentistry was set up in 1971 with the pioneering role of training dentists to fulfil the need of the country, which it later expands to train dental specialists with world class recognition. In December 1997, the Faculty received recognition for its high standard of teaching, research and professionalism when the General Dental Council of the United Kingdom gave its recognition to the University’s Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) degree.
