APDSA Mid-Year Meeting and Lend-a-Hand Project 2023
The APDSA Mid-Year Meeting and Lend-a-Hand Project (MYM&LHP) returned to Malaysia after a 9-year hiatus, spanning from 15th December to 18th December 2023. The 3-day event kicked off with a city tour of Kuala Lumpur (KL) and the opening ceremony at Wyndham Grand Bangsar KL. On the second day, the Lend-A-Hand Project occurred at Balai Ungku Aziz (BUA) in collaboration with Suriana Welfare Society for underprivileged kids, followed by a nighttime tour of KL. The third day featured lectures, workshops led by renowned dentists and professors, and a cultural night at the hotel, showcasing the heritage of each country.
The opening ceremony is officiated by Prof Dr Seow Liang Lin, Dr Lee Soon Boon, Prof Dr Zamri bin Radzi, Associate Prof. Dr Lau May Nak and Tan Chin Hoong
A role-playing station, ‘A Day as A Dentist’, was specially designed to allow the children to emulate the life of a dentist, hoping to inspire their interest in the dental field.
